MEASURING INSTRUCTIONS
How to Measure
The Small Male GingerLead is generally for small to medium dogs (male or female) 20-65 lbs, or larger breeds with a barrel chest and a narrow waist, like Boxers. Male Dachshunds use X-Small size. Support pad is 3.5″ wide (at the cutout) x 17″ long. Straps adjust from 37″ – 60″ long.
Pad Width
Measure from the front of the hind legs, or male genitalia, to the base of the rib cage to determine the support pad width. Male Dachshunds use X-Small size.
NOTE: Support pad holds it shape and does not bunch up. If 3.5″ seems too wide, order the X-Small.
Strap Length
Measure starting where the handle of the GingerLead will rest in your hand (while you are standing upright), continue under your dog’s belly, up the other side, then back to your hand completing the loop. If it measures 37” or less, order the Tall size.
IMPORTANT: Male Dachshunds use X-Small size
